Reuniting with My Mother After 26 Years: A Dream Come True!
Would you give up growing up with your mother for the "American Dream?"
For as long as I can remember, my parents made the heartbreaking decision to bring me to the U.S when I was just 5 years old. Growing up without my mother by my side has been one of the hardest challenges I’ve faced. I've missed 26 birthdays, Mother’s Days, Christmases, and countless moments that no child should ever have to go without.
My parents made this sacrifice in the hope of giving me a better life, but the price has been steep. For 26 years, I've longed for the comfort of my mother’s embrace and love. Now, after 7 years of working on my immigration status, I’ve been granted the chance to finally reunite with her. I’ve been given an interview at the embassy, which means I can finally adjust my immigration status and return home.
This is a dream I never thought would come true, but the timing has been unexpected, and the financial burden of making this reunion possible is heavy. In just one month, I need to cover travel expenses, bills, mortgage, and additional fees. I have already invested over $10,000 in immigration and attorney fees. Unfortunately, my husband and I won’t be financially ready to leave without some support.
I would be forever grateful for any contribution you can make to help me reach this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing my story. Your support in any form means the world to me.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I can’t wait to share the moment I am finally reunited with my mother after 26 long years!
