Happy Holidays!!

This year our family is raising funds to support people in our NYC community whom despite working incredibly hard, struggle to just survive. Each one navigates a city that too often steps over and around them rather than ever offering help.

Our goal is simple: to bring a little joy and dignity to as many people as we can between now and Christmas.

We will do that by distributing gift cards with handwritten notes to the moms and their kids selling candy and fruit in the subways, street vendors, street musicians, those who resort to returning cans and bottles for the deposit money and those whom we observe regularly taking shelter in our doorways. (We also have a soft spot for anyone trying to support a pet on the streets).

We will purchase and distribute gift cards for groceries, public transportation, local restaurants and shops and anything else they may require.

If you’re looking for a meaningful way to bring joy to others this season, please consider donating and include any messages of kindness or encouragement you would like to pass along. We will add a hand written note to each gift card so that in addition to some practical support they will know that someone cares and that we know can spark hope.
