My name is Sofia Brogan Fink, and I created BrightBiz to give young students across Miami-Dade the chance to explore entrepreneurship, build confidence, and discover their potential, no matter their background.
BrightBiz (501)(c)(3) is an 8-week hands-on program for students grades 5-8. Throughout the program, students learn real business skills, including marketing, budgeting, communication, customer service, and use them to create their own small businesses.
The program ends with an exciting Marketplace Day, where students debut and sell their products or services to the community. For many of our students, it’s the first time they feel the pride of bringing an idea to life!
Why We’re Fundraising
To make BrightBiz Inc. accessible to all students, each participant receives a startup packet with the materials they need to create their business. These packets cost $50–$75 per student, and many families can’t afford them.
Your donation will help us provide:
Supplies for startup packets
Marketplace Day setup
Program materials and printing
Guest mentors and workshops
Support for bringing BrightBiz to more schools
Why BrightBiz Matters
Miami-Dade has deep educational and economic divides. BrightBiz bridges the gap by giving students practical skills, creative confidence, and real-world experience at a young age.
We see success through:
Students launching real businesses
90%+ positive feedback from families
Growing community partnerships
Kids discovering strengths they didn’t know they had
How You Can Help
Every contribution (big or small) goes directly toward helping a child build something meaningful. Your support makes the program possible and ensures every student has the tools they need to succeed.
Thank you for helping us empower the next generation of Miami entrepreneurs!
