Hey Friends and Family--
Two years ago, we began our adoption process. We prayed for clarity, and the Lord was so good to provide every answer. This last January, we were matched with our son, "M." He is 6 years old, and although we have never met him, he lives just a day's drive from us in a bordering nation.
Just this week, we received a call from our Adoption Agency (Wide Horizons For Children) telling us that all of his information and entire referral file would soon hit our inbox. Minutes later, we were able to open it and learn more about the young boy who will complete our family. His file describes him as a happy, fun, and smart boy who easily makes friends. He is a helper and loves to teach other kids; he shares his food when other kids are still hungry. It also describes him as a kid that loves affection and is constantly on the move. Sounds like the most perfect fit for our family, right?!
We have just a few tasks remaining:
- Sign full referral, with a notary, stating that we fully accept the referral and agree to adopt him. (Consider this done! :)
- Send the final amount of $18,785 to cover the remaining costs (which includes our 4th agency fee, third-party program fees, post-adoption fee, and the country's Central Authority expenses).
- Send all final documentation for his U.S. Citizenship.
We need your help. We remain confident because everything the Lord has called us to, He has provided for.
