❤️ Brielle Hip Surgery ❤️

Before I get started I just wanted to say THANK YOU to every person who asked me to set up this go fund page for Brielle so they could help her❤️

In October of 2020, Brielle was tragically injured in an accident involving a riding mower while not in my care. She had to be life-flighted to the hospital and received several life-saving surgeries. The damage was severe. The blades took 1/3 of her entire midsection. From her ribs to halfway down her hip was gone. Half her colon and several foot of her large and small intestines had to be removed, 50 spliced places in her intestinal tract. Her right hip was cut off from the iliac crest to the middle of her hip socket. She was kept in a medically induced coma for 2 weeks and had a colostomy bag and a big wound vac filling the space where so much of her body was missing. Initially she was hospitalized for several months and went on to have 11 surgeries total, and if you look at the pictures, the doctors really did a miracle for her. However, her hip socket was damaged the top part was gone along with most of her right side, there is nothing to keep her leg bone in when she moves it because of the top part being missing. This causes her to walk with a limp, and her leg pops out of her hip every step she takes. As you can imagine, this has a very big impact on her quality of life as well as her mobility.

We were told that the insurance company would not pay to surgically correct her hip. It was their opinion that it was “not medically necessary” that physical therapy would be sufficient treatment, they just didn’t want to pay I suspect because at that point we were pushing 750k in medical expenses. I was absolutely furious and I disagreed very loudly and persistently but to no avail. How can physical therapy fix removed bone? Didn’t make any sense to me. However I took her to physical therapy for 2 years with no improvement and they still would not pay for the surgery. It’s been 4 years, and she still has to limp around and be uncomfortable.

After trying and trying, saving little by little here and there every bit I could and not making much progress I couldn’t take it anymore, so I came up with a plan to raise the money we needed by rebuilding a few engines together on camera for TikTok. We always work on stuff together anyway, as you can probably tell from the videos by how comfortable and confident they are helping. I also wanted to help other people be inspired to teach their kids real things that they could use in life. That’s what we are doing on IG annd I was trying to incorporate just how strong and incredibly amazing Brielle is by showing why we started this mission. That’s when all of you showed up and totally blew my mind. Even if we don’t raise much here, I am so very thankful to have people that care and support what we are doing. ❤️❤️.
