Bridging The Gap Foundation is a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to combating social isolation among elders in nursing homes and hospitals through meaningful intergenerational connection, volunteerism, and engagement programs.

Our two core initiatives:

Tract 1: The Showcase Initiative

The Showcase Initiative is Bridging The Gap Foundation’s pilot program that connects youth in the arts, such as piano, art, and theater students, with nursing homes to reduce social isolation among elders while providing youth with a meaningful platform to share their talents.

Tract 2: The Spotlight An Elder Program

The Spotlight An Elder Tract connects volunteers with elders in nursing homes, where volunteers interact with them through conversation, games, or activities and conduct a guided interview. Volunteers will be provided with an interview template and a blog template to make the process as easy as possible.
