As highschoolers, my brother and I have always been intrigued by news stories about poverty and education. During a visit to our hometown in Nepal over Winter Break, we decided to visit several underprivileged schools to see exactly how educational inequality plays out in real classrooms.
Looking at how stark the settings these kids learn in are, it was impossible to ignore the gap between potential and opportunity. Basic necessities in the classrooms we learn in, such as technology, utensils, and even food, were often absent in the Nepali schools we visited. Seeing this gap changed our perspective from observers to advocates. What began as curiosity quickly became a commitment to help address those challenges.
This is why my brother and I created BridgeEd Initiative. Our goal is to bridge the educational divide in Nepal by providing money, resources, and partnering with schools. Hopefully, we can expand throughout South East Asia and other underprivileged schools around the world. This may sound like a very big, unachievable goal, but we have high ambition we can do this with your help. Any donation would be graciously appreciated and make a big impact towards our cause.
