Bridge Workers Strike Relief Fund

The Bridge Community Cafe Workers on Strike need your support! They have been away from work for over two weeks, and while one demand has finally been met as of 11/10, the strike goes on until all demands have been addressed.
In the meantime, there are still bills to pay. :( Workers are responsible for their rent, their groceries, and so many other living expenses that they relied on their income from Bridge to sustain. Our goal is to raise funds to cover three weeks worth of missed wages for all Bridge Community Cafe Workers on strike.
• Official Strike Statement below •
"We, the Bridge Community Café Workers, are on Strike, as of Friday 10/27, due to Wage Theft – in the form of withholding of our cash tips for six weeks at the time of writing, as well as the owner illegally taking a cut of our tip pool.
After repeated attempts to discuss these grievances in the workplace, having been met with disrespect and disregard, we have enacted our right as workers to hold an Unfair Labor Practice Strike.
We will remain united on Strike until we receive our tips in full with no employer cut taken, have a staff-wide meeting to propose a tip system that holds the employer accountable for an accurate payout, as well as create a conflict-resolution system for discussing our other grievances in the workplace.
We ask that anyone who may stop by the café in these coming days - disregard the Now Hiring signs, and respectfully let her know that you are looking forward to a time when all labor at the cafe is fairly compensated."
