I recently lost my job and became homeless, living out of my car until it was repossessed. I am currently in temporary housing, actively interviewing for work, and raising support to cover basic needs while I stabilize. Any help provides a bridge from survival back to independence.
When I first began struggling, I reached out to people I trusted, hoping someone might be able to help. While those conversations were difficult, I understand that not everyone is in a position to assist.
Not long after, I lost my job and was without work. As time passed and resources ran out, I eventually became homeless and began living out of my car, which has since been repossessed. Try to prolong it for as long as I could, but nothing ever materialized in employment or those that I was in communication. That period of instability took a serious toll on my physical and mental health.
Being unemployed and unhoused has affected my body and mind in ways I am still recovering from. I experienced leg swelling, ongoing pain, poor sleep, and mental exhaustion. It became a constant state of survival with very little room to heal, plan, or rest.
Recently, as of Friday, I was able to secure temporary housing for a few weeks. Some stability has allowed me to slow down, regroup, and begin rebuilding. I am actively applying for jobs and currently have two upcoming interviews. I am doing the work and willing to do what is necessary to regain stability and independence. Recovery after homelessness takes time, but I am committed to the process.
I am asking for up to $7,000 not because I expect to need all of it, but to create a short-term bridge while I stabilize, secure work, and take care of my essential needs. I will also be sharing updates along the way, including job progress and next steps as things move forward. I’m just so exhausted and want to get clarity and peace of mind at this point.

I am not giving up, and I am not asking to be carried. I am asking for support while I do the work to recover, stabilize, and move forward with intention.
If you are able to help, thank you. If you are unable to donate, sharing this also helps more than you may realize. I truly appreciate anyone who takes the time to read this and care.
With care
