My name is Mark, and for over a decade, my motorhome was more than just a vehicle—it was my home, my safe haven, and the place where my dog DJ and I built countless memories. Since 2013, we traveled across the country together, visiting every state, and my motorhome even helped me get through school. It held everything I owned and represented my independence and resilience.
But the motorhome was more than just a home for me and DJ. I originally got it for my beloved dog Buddy Love, who was with me for 16 years. I wanted him to have a place where he never had to be kenneled, and it truly became his RV. The memories I made with Buddy Love and DJ in that motorhome are irreplaceable, and losing it means losing a piece of my heart and my history with them both.
Recently, everything changed when the police impounded my motorhome. I was told I had 30 days to retrieve my belongings, but after only 15 days, it was destroyed and sent to the recycler with everything still inside. In an instant, I lost thousands of dollars worth of personal items, my home, and the sense of security I had worked so hard to build. Now, DJ and I are left homeless, penniless, and without a safe place to lay our heads, cook our food, or stay out of the weather.
The funds raised here will help me keep food on the table for DJ and myself, provide a roof over our heads while I work toward securing permanent housing, and help us get by until I am stable again. I am actively working on getting permanent housing, but right now, we need a little help to bridge the gap. Asking for help is not easy for me—I have always been hardworking and independent, and it’s difficult to swallow my pride. But I am truly grateful for any support, no matter how small. Your kindness and generosity would mean the world to both me and DJ, and we would be humbly thankful for any donations. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering helping us during this difficult time.
