Effective 3/17/20 the Governor has shut down bars in the state of Florida for the next 30 days. Many of you know that we have countless industry workers that are now out of a job, many of which were relying on income from St. Patrick’s Day and other upcoming events. This gofundme me is for them to help pay rent and other necessities, not for the business owners. While state assistance is inevitable, it will not be nearly enough for them to survive.
These are the people who listen to your life story on a bad day, keep your secrets from others even when you may not be the best tipper and are there to make you smile no matter what. They are some of the hardest working people and every little bit will go to them. If more money is raised than what is needed to bridge The Downtown DeLand Bar staff, it will be distributed to other impacted food & beverage professionals in Downtown DeLand.
Many of our regular customers have already reached out asking how to help - aside from cooking them dinner this is an outlet to support them.
In order for funds to be distributed, a form must be filled out (link below). A small board of business owners from The Elusive Grape, Abbey Bar and The Table have created this gofundme and will manage disbursement to those impacted and requiring assistance.
