In July of 2024, as part of a industry-wide spate of downsizing, Ben was laid off from a ten+ year tenure at a major software company where he worked as a senior-level technical writer. During his time of unemployment, he and his wife welcomed their fourth child to their household.

Despite actively applying and pursing every lead, as of yet a new employment opportunity for Ben has not materialized, and the growing family is in need of support in order to close the gap until a new job presents itself.

Funds raised by this campaign will be used to pay utility and housing costs, groceries, and other necessities.
