Getting into the Christmas Spirit

As autumn settles in and the nights grow darker, we are launching our annual campaign to bring festive light and cheer to the village. Every year, local families and businesses sponsor the 19 Christmas lights that illuminate Henderson Street throughout the season.

This sponsorship covers the cost of maintaining, repairing, installing, and storing the lights year-round. Our dedicated Community Council volunteers, together with the Friends of Bridge of Allan, organise this effort and proudly display plaques to thank our generous sponsors for keeping the village glowing.

Our Christmas Lights Appeal

Thanks to the refurbishment in 2021, our lights are currently in fair condition. However, after years of outdoor use, further repairs and eventual replacements will be needed. To prepare for these future costs, we are beginning a series of fundraising campaigns to ensure we have the funds ready when the time comes.

Replacing the lights is expected to cost around £20,000, and we are reaching out to everyone in our community including local groups, merchants, students, families and visitors to help us raise a portion of this amount each year.

Together, we can make sure Bridge of Allan continues to sparkle brightly every Christmas!
