Through the Little House Preschool and Child Development Center, the Big House Foundation aims to meet the unique needs of foster children aged 0-5 in Lee County, Alabama. Children are placed into foster care because of difficult home situations, characterized by neglect and trauma. These vulnerable children’s unique needs are often not met by traditional early childhood care programs. That means foster children are frequently removed from these programs with no place to go. Little House will be a place for those children. It will be a daycare, a preschool, and most importantly a place for these children to receive professional trauma-informed care. But to provide that care, BigHouse needs your help. The Foundation is seeking contributions to build Little House and turn this dream into a reality.
