Briarwood Tree Trimming
Donation protected
Our neighborhood would not look the same without trees. At the same time, these trees cause us some problems. I have volunteered on our Briarwood Tree Fest for years past. This is a great program and helps keep our neighborhood beautiful. The Briarwood Homeowners Association and I are aware that maintaining these trees belongs to the property owner where the tree stands. With this in mind we still have a lot of trees in need of maintenance. I do not live on Brougham but often drive that street going to and from my home. I look at this street as the main entrance to Briarwood. Per my count, there are 49 trees on this street between 135th St. and 139th St. The purpose of this fundraiser is to maintain the trees on Brougham.
I have taken it upon myself to get a quote to trim all dead branches from the trees and trim the live branches above the city requirement. It includes removing three dead trees entirely. This would improve the looks of our neighborhood entrance.
There are 480 homes in Briarwood. If each home were to donate $30.00 it would be enough to fund the quote. The Association has told me I will not get all owners to contribute. So some need to donate more. I have started this fundraising campaign by donating $200 myself. I would like to meet the goal of funding this project. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
