Help Me Rebuild My Life After Returning Home from Federal Prison

This is the most difficult transition of my life. I am a returning citizen who was released from USP Canaan on February 27, 2026 after serving 8-years & returned to Washington, D.C. without proper identification, suitable clothing, and without financial assistance that is normally meant to help someone survive until they can begin working

again.

The ONLY thing i received was a bus ticket & $19 for food which is not enough money for todays inflation.

MOREOVER, the FBOP neglected to assist me to renew my Driver’s License, Social Security Card & Birth Certificate releasing me into a difficult position of not being able to start employment that had been offered.

MOREOVER, I am trying to raise $10,000 to help cover basic necessities, Temporary Housing Assistance, daily necessities, and initial housing costs so that I can move into an apartment once I begin employment

Despite all the obstacles, I am determined to rebuild my life &; I am not asking for charity without purpose. I am asking for a chance to stand back on my feet and work again.

My focus right now is simple: return to my craft, and rebuild my life with dignity.
