Brian Faenza's Journey to Recovery

Hi Friends and Family,

I thought I would update here just to reach a wider audience and answer some questions.

Brian Faenza was in a paragliding accident yesterday in California. He is an experienced paraglider and takes calculated risks all the time but just happened to have a rough landing.

Luckily, he was brought to the hospital quickly and he is currently in stable condition in the ICU, they’re going to take him into surgery today to repair his pelvis and thoracic spine. We won’t know the extent of his injuries and recovery time until afterwards but he will likely have to be in the hospital in California for a week or two then go to rehab until he’s safe to be transferred home.

I talked to him this morning and he’s lucid but drowsy from all the medications he is on to keep him comfortable. We agreed that for the time being it would be best for me to stay in NH to support our girls.

Any prayers and support are appreciated while we navigate these next few weeks and work to get him home.
