Brian and Rebekah adoption fund!

We're on adventure to find our missing piece, and we are so close!!!! 

We'd like to sincerely thank all that have previously (and graciously) donated to our first fundraiser, the puzzle.   It is complete and hanging in the nursery:)  I am in complete awe of how it all came together, so thank you again.  **please check out pics below**

As many of you know, my husband and I have been on adventure to find our baby.  We have struggled with unexplained infertility for almost 3 years.  We believe adoption is the perfect way to begin our family as it is so dear to my heart and a way to preserve the sanctity of life.

How much will adoption cost and how can I help?

An Open Door (our agency) has a minimum fee of $37,000. This does not include fees such as the home study, lawyer fees, etc. All in all, it will cost upwards of $45,000 to $50,000 after it's all said and done (totally worth it the moment they put that baby in our arms).  Brian and I have been working hard to save money, researching grants, hosting fund raises, and turning to our friends and family and people like you for financial support.  Any donation amount is greatly appreciated and goes directly towards our adoption and bringing baby home.  ​

Other ways you or someone you know can help bring our family together is through, first and foremost, prayer and by sharing our gofundme page; spreading the word.  Please join us in praying for baby's health and the birth-mother’s health and her heart, as this is a tremendous and honorable sacrifice.  If she's in a difficult situation, pray that the Lord will come along side of her and speak to her in miraculous ways to receive help. Pray for the doctors who will be involved with the delivery of our baby when the time comes. Pray for our patience and wisdom through the remaining of the adoption process and to be financially ready.  Pray for the agency and wisdom on their end as they prepare everything and speak with potential birth-mother, and pray we find a match soon and can meet our little boy or girl!

Why Adopt?

Aside from wanting to start our family, there are other reasons as to how we know God is calling us to adopt:

1.) Adoption has always been a part of my life. I was adopted, along with my two older brothers, at birth. I know first-hand that adoption is a beautiful phenomenon of bringing families together. 

2.) Brian and I firmly believe that every child is a gift from God. The Bible tells us this repeatedly throughout His Word.  Ephesians 1:5 states that 'we ourselves are adopted into Christ's family when we put our trust in Him'.  One way for Brian and I to show our gratitude for Christ's love is to welcome a child into our home and love him/her just as Christ first loved us.

3.) We are pro-life!  In light of the whole pro-life/abortion movement going on right now, we firmly believe that there are other options.  If ever a time to bring awareness about alternative options other than abortion, it's right now.  Adoption is a loving, sacrifical, and honorable alternative, and its rippling effects are endless.   

4.) Finally, love makes a family.  We would rather pursue building our family through adoption vs. continuing with fertility treatment.  Brian and I both love kids and are confident we will make awesome parents but conceiving on our own isn’t a necessity or the only driving factor to begin our family.   

Final Regards:

We are so excited to start our family!!
