Brezzi's Medical Fund

Brezzi Zapata is a tough little two year old. In her few years she has already had major surgery to correct a condition called Craniosynostosis. Craniosynostosis is a condition in which one or more of the fibrous sutures in an infant skull prematurely fuses by turning into bone thereby changing the growth pattern of the skull. At only 6 months she had this evasive, 9 hour long surgery in San Antonio and came out a little warrior!

Since then she has had countless doctor’s visits, procedures, eye appointments, hearing appointments and so on. She uses glasses and now just got fitted for hearing aids! During these times Brezzi and the family have to travel to El Paso, Albuquerque and San Antonio to visit her specialists.

Any monetary donation the family acquires is used for her medical expenses and medical trips. It’s not cheap or easy to travel to these places but it’s all for a great cause in the journey for Brezzi’s continued health.

Her next BIG trip is coming up March 18th to San Antonio. She will be meeting with her cranial surgeons and a genetics team to figure out what surgery she is looking at next. Brezzi will be needing surgueries to continue fixing her skull and facial bones up until the age of at least 14. These funds are imparitive and very important for travel for Brezzi as the costs for rental cars (the family car isn't in the best condition and it's to risky to take for long trips), hotel stays, gas and other things needed on the road.
