Brewing New Life into the Coffee Pot

The 2023 Leadership Bedford County class has chosen to help restore The Coffee Pot in Bedford, PA! The Coffee Pot is located at the entrance of the Bedford Speedway, along Rt. 30. Back when the "Lincoln Highway" was the main NYC-SF artery, diversions like a big coffee pot were well visited. Since 1927, the 18-ft. high Coffee Pot has served as a lunch place adjoining a gas station, a bar with a hotel behind it, a coffee shop, and a place for people to visit and admire as they travel.

The Leadership Team is working to raise funds to restore The Coffee Pot so this piece of local historical architecture can continue to be enjoyed by visitors from all over as they pass through the Lincoln Highway Heritage Corridor.

With repairs including the outside appearance, roofing, gutters, landscaping, and an inside "touch up," funds totaling $50,000 are needed. Any amount would be a great help in making progress toward our goal! Thank you for considering contributing to the restoration of our beloved Coffee Pot!
