Team 1922#25

When I first set up the GofundMe page, it was initially set up in July in order to see if we could get any financial support for my sister Jodie, Brett and their children as unfortunately Brett became poorly, and with their family run business which they set up together, they both could no longer work because as well as caring for Brett, Jodie was heavily pregnant with their fourth precious baby girl, so we wanted to do something to help support them and to try put their minds at ease, that they could still provide for them as a family through their difficult time, for all of the donations made we are so grateful.

Back in July, we had then learnt that Brett was very poorly, and this wasn’t just an ear infection as we were first told back in February, when he started to feel unwell.

This was in fact, a misdiagnosed brain tumour.

In the past few days, I have unexpectedly had lots of messages from Family, friends and even strangers to ask if the GofundMe page was still around as they would like to donate. I believed that I thought I had closed/deleted the page when the first donation had ended, but when I had checked, it was still running, so this page is most definitely still live. 

Obviously, we never ever expected this outcome for Brett, Jodie and their family, completed now by the safe arrival of Minnie Rae, who was Brett’s last precious gift to Jodie and their beautiful family, who we will always treasure ☀️ 

With Brett’s passing, we will always ensure that Brett’s memory lives on in all of them ✨
