Breast Cancer Nurses - McGrath Foundation

About 15 years ago at the age of 75 my grandma was diagnosed with breast cancer. She underwent a mastectomy followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy and is in remission. On the 14 of January 2026 she turned 90 and is a breast cancer survivor.

On the 14 of February I'm doing a 24km open water swim from Safety Beach to Sorrento on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. The swim is a challenge I set myself, something to train for and after some 10km's it will be the longest one so far.

With the challenges my grandma over came at 75, this challenge I set myself is also a chance for me to raise funds for The McGrath Foundation to support breast care nurses and help others with the challenges they face following a breast cancer diagnosis

Any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me. Breast Cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia (1 in 7 women will be diagnosed in their lifetime).
The McGrath Foundation raises funds to support people with breast cancer by providing specialist McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia. Your support means we are one step closer to ensuring every person experiencing breast cancer has access to this vital service, no matter where they live, for free.
Together we can make a difference.
