Become part of what we can’t afford to sit out!
Lead the change your generation deserves.
An initiative led by passionate change makers with a human focus, with PanelGroupThought4Action — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
5.8 billion people — 70% of the world — live in informality.
Not poverty. Informality: a systemic insecurity, lack of affordability, slow impoverishment — the inability to prove what you own, who you are, or what is owed to you. It locks people out of the formal economy. Inflexible and overwhelming bureaucratic processes strips people of the ability to keep up…, register a business, enforce an agreement, secure a loan, or pass down what they have built to their children. It traps them in the shadows of their own societies. It is the defining crisis of our era, and almost no one is talking about it.
And it is not a “developing world” problem.
Informality spreads. It hollows out the middle class in rich countries as quickly as it traps people in poorer ones. A street vendor n Lagos, a shopkeeper in Colombo, a freelancer in Athens or Berlin, a gig worker in Chicago, and many trafficked refugees — all share the same condition. Our work today spans Germany, Greece, the UK, the United States, Latin America, Tunisia, Nigeria, India, and Sri Lanka. Informality respects no border.
The change has already started: 40+ million people moved from informality to secure a place in the middle class thanks to RCA©. We must continue, and fast.
Through RCA©, entire populations have moved from informality to the proud middle class. From invisibility to identity. From precariousness to permanence. This work has been recognised globally, in academic literature, by leading economists, and with global awards. No other approach can show transformation at this scale, lasting across decades.
Imagine growing old with the dignity of someone whose work, ownership, and existence are fully recognised — and being able to pass that security on to your children. That is what 40 million people gained. That is what the next hundreds of millions are still waiting for.
Here is exactly where your gift goes.
STEP 1 — AWARENESS
The single biggest barrier to ending informality is that the world doesn’t know what it is. A sustained content engine across Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X, plus new episodes of Reality Check with Élena, op-eds, and earned press.
Goal: $20,000
STEP 2 — EUROPE: Two decision and policy-maker convenings + private viewings of the just produced 1st documentary "70%Informals"
Two major policy-maker and broader audience convenings by end of summer 2026 with at least two private viewings — bringing scholars, decision and policy-makers, and institutional leaders to one question: how is informality reshaping Europe, and what can be done?
Goal: $25,000
STEP 3 — UNITED STATES: Two policy-maker convenings + private viewings of "70%Informals"
Gig workers, undocumented contributors, and an expanding precariat are reshaping the American economy in ways policy has barely begun to acknowledge. Two major policy-maker convenings paired with private viewings of 70% Informals in major US cities.
Goal: $80,000
STEP 4 — FURTHER DEVELOPING THE WORK DONE IN NIGERIA, SRI LANKA & INDIA
The foundations are built (see above). $10,000 develops collaborations with these countries' leaders. These relationships alive through 2026 — follow-up briefings, ongoing research, continued awareness, and the bridge-building that turns into long-term reform.
Goal: $10,000
STEP 5 — DOCUMENTARY
The feature-length 70% Informals documentary is the centerpiece of everything above — the artifact that makes every viewing and convening possible. Every $2,000 funds a day of production.
Goal: $15,000
TOTAL SPRING/SUMMER 2026 GOAL: $150,000
A second campaign launches in the fall for the next phase: expanded country work, additional convenings, and the documentary’s release.
Where to start:
• $500 — fact-checking and story prep before filming
• $2,000 — one day of documentary production, or a Reality Check Walk with Élena
• $5,000 — an hour with our advisors, plus research support
• $10,000 — a private viewing with Q&A
• $12,000+ — Co-Producer credit on Reality Check with Élena
• Custom — Transformation Partner
Thank you — here is what your support has already built.
With approximately $80,000 raised — across this platform and from foundations, and individual major donors — Thought 4 Action has, in the past year, delivered:
• Eight leading keynotes to decision and policy-makers in six countries (Switzerland, Greece, India, Srilanka, Nigeria, USA)
• Six private viewings in the mentioned countries
• Advanced national conversation on property rights and inclusive growth
• Developed private investment reform PPPs guiding material
• A series of lectures
• A growing awareness campaign across Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X, plus the second season of Reality Check with Élena
That work has brought us into direct contact with more than 50 senior policy-makers across Europe, North America, Africa, and South Asia — and laid the foundations for long-term collaborations with research institutes, academic departments, think tanks, and private-sector leaders on three continents.
This is what showed the world that 70% Informals is real, urgent, and answerable.
Every dollar brings us closer to a future of justice and inclusion.
One country at a time.
