Breaking Bands Virtual Festival 2020

Due to Covid-19 spreading so wildly across the UK at present, we as a festival have decided to cancel this years Breaking Bands Festival for the health and safety of our community, the staff, bands and everyone who they come into contact with. It would be very selfish at this stage to continue with plans to put on the event.

This is very sad for everyone who have been counting down the days, weeks and months for this years festival so we have decided in association with the bands, to host a Breaking Bands Virtual Festival where the bands still play a gig, in isolation across the same festival weekend.

We are asking people to donate money for the bands which will be shared equally to all bands that take part in this event. There will be an equal split of 90% of the funds raised going to the bands and 10% will go to RACPA (Rock Against Child Pornography and Abuse UK) who are our regular charity who attend each year.

The 4 Directors of the festival have agreed that they will add £10 between them to the total for every £100 donated by the end of the virtual festival weekend. This will come from personal funds not the Breaking Bands Festival account.

We hope everyone can donate, we would suggest £5 per person would be more than enough and we feel we could raise some great funds for the bands as well as giving them much needed promotion and hopefully lots of music and merch sales over the festival weekend.

Bands are losing gigs and tours all over the place right now and this could be a great way to help all bands with a small donation, merch sales, music sales and plenty of publicity.

The gig will be live across the festival weekend between 22nd and 24th May 2020 as originally scheduled.
