For nearly thirty years, Bread-for-the-Soul in D.C. has provided gift cards and new toys for children and families living with HIV/AIDS and other families in need. However, because of the government shutdown for more than a month and the hardship of job losses and problems for those who receive SNAP, the committee now feels that more people than in past years will need our services. To purchase more gift cards, the committee will postpone our annual Christmas party for this holiday season.

Once again, we will need your generous support. We are asking for donations of at least fifty dollars or more to help these families, but no donation is too small.

As they do annually, the D.C. Water Department has assured us of a truckload of new toys and coats for those in need. Please share this information with others in the spirit of giving.
