In the blink of an eye life can change. In the midst of navigating his high school senior year and just days before turning 18, Austin was diagnosed with an aggressive tumor that later we learned was cancer. He had immediate surgery to remove the tumor and is having bloodwork monitored for a few more weeks before beginning chemotherapy. While we are beyond blessed to learn that he has a very high rate of recovery, it has thrown this single momma and her children for a loop. Everyone is asking how to help and quite honestly we could use help through monetary donations the most. Please understand that me asking for help is incredibly hard because I like to be the one helping others, but sometimes life throws you curveballs. This will help to provide quick meals when the days get too long to cook, it will help cover the medical expenses that our insurance won't cover, it can help pay for Austin's car payment and portion of his auto insurance while he is unable to work. I only get a few paid days off each school year because being a teacher we get our summer weeks off, yet Austin still needs me to be with him to help him through this difficult situation, the holidays are around the corner, and it could help with other miscellaneous things during this difficult time. I currently work 2 jobs to provide for my kids and if I could handle another instead of asking for help, I would in a heartbeat. Many of you know my life has been filled with many ups and downs, but I know in my heart, with God by our side and our angels watching over us, we will once again rise from the struggle and come out on top.
