Brazier 4 District 204 School Board

I would like to thank those who signed the petition I appreciate your support. For those of you who may not know, I have successfully petitioned to put my name on the ballot for the District 204 School Board of Directors in the April 4, 2017 election cycle.  I am now preparing to campaign for the election, and I need your financial support as well as your moral support. Below is a brief description of who I am, why I believe I am qualified, as well as some of the things I have done within the community.

About Me

- Married for 22 years (Sanura – School Social Worker, District# 131)

- 20-year resident of District 204

- Two daughters – Anisa (a 2015 honors graduate of Metea Valley High School; currently a Pre-Med Sophomore at Loyola University-Chicago) and Jordyn (a Freshmen at Metea)

Why vote for me?

I have served throughout the City of Aurora and Naperville as an advocate for our diverse communities, especially our children, in various capacities for the past decade and counting.  Now, I am seeking elected office, a seat on the Indian Prairie District 204 Board of Education, the district in which I have resided now for the past 20 years.  A natural relationship builder and collaborator, I am both willing and able to partner with others (regardless of background or political position)for the betterment of our youth and our community.

I believe in providing a solid educational foundation and preparing our students for college, the workplace, and an overall productive and satisfying life. With a true passion for community success, I have a proven track record of being an all inclusive leader and team player.  With a true passion for community success, I have served (and continue to serve) in several programs/capacities, including, but not limited to:

- Boys 2 Men, Inc. – Volunteer/Mentor

- Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. (Mu Mu Lambda  Chapter) – Youth Educational Activities Chair

- PACES (Parents & Administrators Collaborating to Enrich Students (Metea Valley High School) – President

- Minister to Youth (DuPage AME Church – Lisle, IL)

- S.K.I.N. I’m In (Girl Empowerment) – Parent Volunteer
