Brave the Shave (Hair today, Gone tomorrow)
Donation protected
Hi everyone, as you know I've recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer and after only 9 days from the 1st Chemotherapy, my hair has decided to part ways with my head x So for charity I've Braved the Shave.
So my twin sister, Heidi, took her Clippers out and the rest is now in its own bag labelled "Hair today, Gone tomorrow "!!
I've decided to do a GoFundMe for a wonderful friend off mine Charlotte and would ask you to make yourself a cup of coffee and spend the next few minutes reading her story, of which is amazing x We need £5000 raising and this will play an extremely huge part in my recovery and keeping me busy and giving back to others.
I love you all x ❤️
My name is Charlotte Batterham I run CBB Clifton Bidding Bargain Page community interest company based in Clifton Nottingham.
We are a community interest company we don't make profit we don't take a wage we do it because we can, because it's needed, because we love our community.
We work in the community raising funds for local organizations and groups. We take in unwanted and preloved items and auction them on our Facebook group.
So we want to create a warm/chat hub where the group operates.
We have currently raised £3434.66 but the target is £10,000.
It will also incorporate an area for storage of all the donated items ready to sell which will help the group run more efficiently, therefore, increasing the amount of support we can give. But mostly will be a warm, safe and private area where members of the community will be able to come to talk about anything a problem shared is a problem halved and if we can reach out to offer support who knows it might save life's.
Whether it be Homelessness, fleeing Domestic Violence, or Children in Emergency Care we gift items or whatever they need free of charge.
We have pulled members of our community back when all hope was lost. Imagine losing everything in a house fire and only having the clothes you are stood in, nothing for the children, ect, not even a toothbrush.
We rally around and build their lives back around them supporting them in every way we can. Image a child being removed from their parents by social services and again just in the clothes on their back. We sort clothes toys uniforms. The list of our work is endless.
For the last 9 years this has been done on my doorstep and the conversations can last hours. Which is OK in the summer but not so much in the colder months. In addition, we hope to organise small chat groups with people who experience the same issues so that they know they are not alone.
We were hoping with all fingers crossed that you may be able to support us and with the support of your followers we may just make this happen.
Thank you for reading.
