Hello! We are Lee and Becca Bratcher and we live with our two kids, Kenzie and Ivy, in Richardson, Texas. Lee works as a professor at Dallas Baptist University and Becca stays home with the girls.
We chose to pursue adoption after years of conversations about expanding our family. Inspired by the community in which we live, adoption stories around us, and our family and friends, we decided to expand our family through adoption and officially began the process in December of 2019.
After considering various adoption agencies, we decided to work with The Gladney Center for Adoption, because of the multiple ways they ensure care for birth parents. This includes medical as well as emotional support, before and after the child’s birth. We deeply value the selflessness of a birth parent to choose adoption for their child, and want to honor that decision. Gladney is a strong advocate for open adoption, and we look forward to building that relationship.
The total cost of the adoption is $55,000, which is more than we can cover on our own. Through savings and loans we plan to cover 50% of the adoption cost. This Go Fund Me appeal is to raise the other half through generous support.
