Bras to Africa
0% complete
€547 raised of

Women have been so generous.
So very generous.
Bras have arrived in bags and boxes and armfuls.
Passed on with smiles, little chats, and kind intentions.
And now I have four large suitcases full, with more still coming in.
These bras are going to women in Africa.
They are practical, yes.
But they are also confidence.
They lift posture, raise status, and offer protection.
They help women feel ready to step out, to work, to be seen.
And when one woman stands a little taller, the whole family feels it.
I’ll be carrying some with me when I travel, the last ones that arrive right up to the wire.
But the many already donated now need to travel ahead in boxes.
Each box is solid and sturdy, around 7 to 8 kilos, and costs 15 to 20 euros to send safely through the local post office.
This isn’t about one woman doing it all.
Most of the time it starts with a chat.
A few friends.
A walking group.
A paddle group.
A coffee stop where the chicas put in a couple of euros and say, yes, let’s do this.
Little bits gather.
Little kindnesses add up.
And suddenly, there’s a box on its way.
Each one is sent with love and support from the women who made it happen.
A name.
A group.
Or simply from many hands, many hearts.
If this makes you smile and think of your chicas, that’s perfect.
That’s how this has grown.
One box.
Many women.
So much care.
