Hello Everyone!
Welcome to my fundraising page for the Mindo Medical Mission, 2016. This mission trip is more than just providing dental and medical care to people who otherwise would have none. It is also about the city of Mindo, Ecuador. We have the privilege of not only going into these people's city and providing them with the best medical and dental care that we can give, but also to show them as much love and compassion that we can, that is 100% instilled in our hearts by the one who loved us first.
I like to think that I make some sort of an impact when I am able to step foot in these people's beautiful, natural world, but I truly believe that this trip made my heart do a 360, and realize that it's so much bigger than me. Mindo has revealed to me the type of dentist that I will (soon) be, to love and to care for my patients as real people, with real hearts; not a stepping stone between me and a grand fortune.
FOR THE LAST TIME EVER (as I hope to have a Job starting this summer, haha) I want to ask for your support on my third trip to Mindo. Any kind of financial support is appreciated, because being in dental school doesn't necessarily give you much freedom as far as finances go. I'd also like to ask for your support in your thoughts and prayers. Ecuador is a place that needs a ton of prayer, and any kind of change that is going to happen there isn't going to be because of us, but it will be because the Lord has to show up first, and use us solely as a vessel to do his work!
I know that we are asking a LOT from our friends and family this 2018 - as Kiki and I are getting married in Miami, we are graduating in Boston, etc. This trip means SO much to me, and I cannot imagine not being there for these people who I have grown so fond of.
