Brandon Khuu's Eagle Project
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Brandon Khuu, and I am a Boy Scout in Troop 708 located in Castro Valley, CA. I started my scouting journey in 2nd grade and worked my way up from a Cub Scout all the way to a Life Scout. Throughout my adventures as a scout, I have experienced many things from earning countless merit badges to learning many important life and survival skills. In addition to these, I have made amazing, lifelong friends. As my Boy Scout journey is coming towards an end, the last rank I will be working toward is the highest and most well known one: Eagle Scout.
In order for me to earn this rank, I must use what I learned throughout my years in scouting to lead others by planning and developing a service project that contributes to the growth of my community. I chose to help the Bishop O’Dowd Tennis Team as well as Merritt College which are both located in Oakland, CA. I will do this by building a 32'x12' tennis backboard made out of plywood and various dimensions of wood attached sideways onto the fence to provide support. This is a large project that requires many volunteer service hours and about $2100 in materials.
Most importantly, I need your help to fund for the materials for building this project. Any amount of financial assistance will be immensely appreciated and will allow me to not only complete my project but help me fulfill my dream to be an Eagle Scout. Checks should be made payable to Troop 708, and mailed to 1917 Marineview Drive, San Leandro, CA. 94577. If any extra funds remain after the completion of my project, it will go directly to Merritt College to help the institution.
Your generous donations will be accepted through June 29th.
I greatly appreciate your support and contributions for helping me achieve this important goal.
Thank you for your time, and I hope you have a great day.
Sincerely,
Brandon Khuu

This is where I am building the tennis practice wall. It will be outside of the tennis courts for people to practice rallying.
