A Bonners Ferry family's life turned upside down in an instant Saturday evening, and they are in need of the community's help and prayers as they adjust to the harsh realities of healing the sudden and serious traumatic injuries incurred in the horrendous and everlasting seconds of a head-on vehicle collision.
Kari Bradford was driving Cow Creek Road home with her children at about 8:37 p.m. April 4 when she allegedly saw a car coming at them in her lane. She steered for the ditch, but so too did the driver of the oncoming vehicle.
Kari and their son Hunter, 11, were both badly hurt, Alisha, 14, Shawn, 8, and Amilia, 3, suffered less serious injuries.
Also lost was the family vehicle, not only totaled in the crash, but burned as well. It was their main transportation, Gabriel's way to work. With family scattered among different hospitals, Gabriel has never had greater need of safe, reliable transportation.
All donations big and small will be gratefully appreciated, and to ensure the Bradford family receives what you donate to them, 9B.News will reimburse GoFundMe fees to the family.
For those who would like to contribute but prefer not to give online, contributions can be dropped off or mailed to 9B.News, 6735 Selkirk St. #12, Bonners Ferry, ID 83805.
