We are raising funds to support this beautiful family that has suffered an unimaginable loss.

While on holidays in South Africa, their 10 year old daughter Olivia died in a car accident that also claimed the life of her grandmother, Mona.

In an instant their lives have been torn apart and their hearts shattered.

The family, of South African origins and recent migrants to Australia, had travelled back to South Africa to attend a family wedding and had just celebrated Christmas when tragedy struck.

We can’t begin to imagine the profound loss they are feeling as they prepare to bring their beautiful Olivia back to Australia for the last time.

Olivia was a radiant, happy, caring and cheeky little girl that beamed every time you met her. She loved playing netball and being with her friends. She was a much loved student at St Bede’s Primary School in Red Hill where she will always be remembered by her classmates, teachers and fellow families.

Her loss is something that we cannot yet understand or accept.

It is our wish that the funds raised be used to support this family in this overwhelming time of need and that it help buy them time to grieve this incomprehensible loss.

Any amount that you can spare will provide the gift of time that they will need to try and piece their lives back together.
