We are five young men from all over the United States with skills ranging from carpentry, plumbing and electric, to nursing volunteering to give our time, strength, and energy to helping the people of Puerto Rico rebuild after the devestation of Hurricane Maria. We will be going from December 22, 2017- January 8, 2018. We believe that the best way that we can help facilitate the recovery effort is by liasing directly with churches and community groups in San Juan, and the surrouding area to identify and provide the services that they need in the moment. By reaching out directly to the community we wish to help, rather than going through the beaurcracy of a NPO or NGO we believe we can provide versatile, localized, and community focused assistance.
Every day we will post pictures of what we accomplish. We need to raise $3500 simply to get there and another $1500 for supplies: all funds raised will go to our transportation and to the tools and supplies we will use none of our personal expenses or needs while there. We hope to sell 1000 hours of our time at $5/hour to cover the cost of getting there and all our supplies. Help us help them!
Thank you all and God Bless,
