Born Again - Sober Living (Non-Profit)

Hello, my name is Edward Seitz. I have recently opened a non for profit entity for sober living. I'd like to explain why I decided to go this route and who I am

I was in active addiction at the start of age 15. I decided to get help but the second my daughter was born I was back in addictive addiction for a couple of years. I decided to get sober again I had 3 years of clean, sponsees, a family, and stable sobriety. I was able to become a responsible father and have another beautiful child which is my son. I couldn't have asked for more but because of the selfish person I was, I thought I could take the program and use it as a power. Long story short I went back out for 5 years. I have had the same sponsor for over 10 years and he has a sponsor who has a sponsor lol. I will not lie to those who read I do not have the same amount of sobriety I once did. I restarted the program a bit ago and revolved around sobriety and being part of the solution. I still make mistakes I'd be lying if I said I was perfect.

I currently work for Advene Health(MAT) as a Marketing Director. Recently, I have been allowed to become a partner with Ascend Recovery Center (IOP/PHP) - NC.

Since I have had this opportunity I have been able to receive so many contacts! By contacts I mean I can find recovery suitable for an individual pretty quickly. As I was introducing our business to detox such as Daymark, McLeod, Anuvia, etc. I noticed they had such a waitlist due to one dilemma, Sober living. There is not enough housing in Charlotte for the number of people that NEED IT. Fortunately, I partnered with people who all share the same dream. Joshua Bone has been a big influence in my decision to do this. He is a mentor to me and without his guidance, I'd have absolutely no idea what I am doing. I plan to implement a Christian AA-based sober living home. I do not have any idea where this will take me. My dream is to have houses for men and women. As a marketer and someone who goes and visits places I know women's housing is charlottes biggest weakness. I plan to help be a part of the solution for that. I am beyond honored and grateful to be in the position I am in. I promise even 1$ can help save someone's life. I plan to create shirts, necklaces, & keychains as time goes on. I'd like to keep Josh's tradition and give an item from Born Again to each person who donates. I appreciate those who took the time to read, donate, or even checked out what I am working on.
