Support T.I.M.E Minded's Backpack Drive

Hi, I am Jonathan Roden, President of Time minded, and we need your support for our first annual backpack drive.

We are Time Minded a student organization @ Wayne State University that supports students who have been impacted by the justice system. For example if they have a parent, sibling or relative in prison or jail. Justice system impacted children are at a disadvantage in that their natural support system is hindered by the Justice System.

We are having a backpack drive for this upcoming 2024-2025 school year.

This drive is focusing on supporting students in Detroit, MI, that are justice system impacted. What does this means? Student grades K-12 affected by the justice system will be receiving a backpack, school supplies, & personal hygiene items! The back pack drive will stop collecting donations August 1, 2024. The backpacks will be filled with supplies at Wayne State University, then the Backpacks will be distributed August 10, 2024.

The Brightmoor (49812) area has one of the highest incarceration rates so these students are who we aim to help first. We at Time Minded believe providing these items will reduce stress/worry for the parent(s) and students will gain the confidence & tools needed to maintain academic success throughout the school year.
