The 27th New Costessey Squirrel Scouts are undertaking a hiking challenge, walking 27 miles in 30 days, from 5th April to 4th May 2025 to raise money to help support young carers aged 5-18 yrs in the Marlpit area of Norwich.

The Squirrel Scouts are aged 4-6yrs old and each member of the Squirrels section will be involved in the challenge. Our Squirrel Scurry is hoping to raise as much as possible, with a target of £500.

The local group, we're raising funds for are committed to supporting Young Carers to help them tackle some of the unique challenges they face.

They offer the children chances to take a break from the day-to-day demands of being a young carer in a fun and friendly environment, plus make new friends and learn new skills. Staff are also on hand to provide help and advice on deeper challenges affecting either them or their families. Having the chance to talk to an understanding and listening ear about their lives is an important part of the Young Carers service.
