This fundraising drive is our grass-roots approach to help the worst hit areas of Bohol from Super Typhoon Rai/Odette. We are composed of local people coming from different nationalities working as a unit for the immediate response to people who are needing help at this difficult time. To initiate the relief operations, the funding acquired is being used to help the villagers of Loboc who lost their homes. The Loboc River flooded up to 6m high and washed away everything the people have. We hope to continue the relief and extend the help to more areas of Bohol that are badly hit as the days go by. We are currently working together with different relief groups that are responding also to different areas in Bohol. Funds will be redistributed where and when it is needed the most. ABOUT US: Bohol Typhoon Relief Operations is a private support team aiming to connect volunteer groups in order to share helpful information and allocating funds collected with the objective of distributing necessary and efficient relief through its network of teams across the affected towns/barangays in Bohol. Over 20 amazing relief groups have connected and are working together to get to those in most urgent need across Bohol. We have been putting together and trying to keep updated the following resources to help this objective:
*Suppliers contact list, for relief goods/supplies/services including priority access info for relief groups
*Calendar with daily relief schedule across all groups
*Analytics on: areas already provided relief, population, typhoon damage etc.
*Facebook chat to use as a communication channel between team members to coordinate, share info & ask questions (please don't be shy, ask anything you need and please ask multiple times if needed as teams are often on the road and out of signal/power)
*Facebook Group to post updates, activities and donation appeals
*Providing additional funding to optimize relief distribution of verified relief ops teams to cover more areas and help more people.
