Help Rebuild Bogo City, Cebu After the Devastating 6.9 Magnitude Earthquake

Hi, my name is Nizle. Last Monday at around 9:59 PM, a powerful 6.9 magnitude earthquake struck my hometown — Bogo City, Cebu, Philippines.

The destruction it left behind has been heartbreaking.

-Homes have been reduced to rubble

-Lives have been lost

-Families — including small children — are now sleeping on the streets

-There is an urgent need for food, clean water, shelter, and medical aid

As someone who was born and raised in Bogo, this tragedy hits incredibly close to home. I may be far away physically, but my heart is with my fellow Bogohanons.

Seeing photos and videos of families huddled under makeshift shelters, children exposed to the cold night air, and elderly with no access to basic necessities — it's unbearable.

How Am I Connected to the Cause?

I’m a native of Bogo City, and I still have family, friends, and neighbors living there. I’ve been in constant contact with trusted local community leaders and volunteers who are actively helping victims on the ground. This campaign is personal — I am doing this to directly support my community.
