Help me start 2020 off with a BUZZ! I’ve always wanted to shave my head, but only for a worthy cause close to my heart. The Bodia Group has provided me with just that, motivating me to muster all my courage and shave the darn locks off.
The Bodia Group is a non-for-profit organisation created to support the disadvantaged youth of Cambodia. They make a lasting impact on the welfare and education standards of impoverished students throughout Cambodia, particularly at the SCCDO orphanage. This fundraiser will enable The Bodia Group to provide students at tertiary education with the resources they need to complete their studies. This includes things such as accommodation and food support, as well as specialised equipment like stethoscopes, textbooks, calculators and stationary. Think about how lucky you were to receive all of this without second thought. Now I am trying to give back by supporting these students where they need it most. I try not to ever forget how lucky I am to be born in Australia with all its fruitful opportunities, healthcare and education. The beautiful kids of this Cambodian orphanage have not been provided with these basic necessities at their fingertips.
So it’s time to help break this cycle of poverty and give back. It’s through my involvement with The Bodia Group that the Bodia Buzz has been created as a strategy for helping bright but poor youngsters. It is a fundraising tool that I’m starting off, but one that anyone can join in on and shave for a truely worthy cause. Contact me if you would like to start your own Bodia Buzz fundraiser. The founders of The Bodia Group, Naomi and Yann, will travel to Cambodia to put these funds to use in February and October 2020. Please donate what you can, every little bit counts!
