The 8th Annual Bocce for Bus competition is back and will be held June 7th, 2025, at Domino Park, Brooklyn. The bus that picks up and drops off the senior citizens of our beloved Swinging Sixties Community Center needs these funds in order to keep operating. Dig deep this year to help us reach the $22k goal, having raised $21,764 last year.
With local businesses and community groups banding together to help the cause, we have extended the competition bracket to 16 teams this year and will be fundraising and drawing prizes for any donations over $10 (automatically entered and drawn on the day - okay if you can't make it). The prize pool this year so far consists of:
- 4 x tickets to the Mets (July 1)
- A $50 gift voucher to Pete’s Candy Store (709 Lorimer St, BK)
- A $100 gift voucher to Lighthouse (145 Borinquen Pl, BK)
- A luxury beach umbrella ($350) from Business & Pleasure Co

The ticket allocations for donations are as follows:
$10 = 1 ticket
$25 = 3 tickets
$50 = 10 tickets
$100 = 25 tickets

Please also join us if you are local at Pete's Candy Store (bar at 709 Lorimer St) on Thursday, May 22nd for our pre-party fundraiser/hangout. We will be drawing the on-the-day tournament bracket and in Australian tradition, we will be raffling off a meat tray generously donated and curated by Meat Hook!
The June 7th competition will be from 9am - 5pm this year with all-day music, and $20 wristbands that will get you free breakfast (Bagelsmith bagels, Peter Pan Donuts & Variety Coffee), lunch (Carmine's pizza), all-day drinks & bocce play on the spectator court!
