Boat Renovations for the Sarah G and beyond!

Hey to all my amazing TikTok friends!

Here we are again—I'm sharing our life, and you all want to rally behind us. So many of you have asked how to support this next chapter, and while it feels a little foreign to me, I’m remembering what one of you said last time (when you helped us fund a new dinghy that changed our sailing life):

“Don’t block blessings.”

So… here I am. Letting the blessings in. You all could quite literally change our lives (I mean... you already have...)

There is absolutely zero pressure or obligation—this is just an invitation. Nothing more. You don’t have to accept it.

So, what’s going on?

We’re deep in the middle of a major boat renovation. We’re sanding, varnishing, painting—everything. And as we go, we realized: if we can afford to, now is the time to replace the outdated essentials and finally make this boat not just livable, but truly home!

Here’s a breakdown of what we’d use the funds for—depending on how much is raised:

1. A new stove – Ours is on its last legs and really needs to be replaced

2. A refrigerator that fits our space – replace the two dorm fridges with one boat fridge!

3. New sink and faucet for bathroom and kitchen! - they are both original with the boat, so over 25 years old?

4. A WATER MAKER – This one is huge. Total game changer for sustainability and freedom.

5. Offsetting the costs we’ve already invested/planned to invest in this phase: sandpaper (so much sandpaper), varnish, deck primer, bottom paint, zincs—you name it. This would help us save faster for the next cruising season.

6. Hauling the boat out – This is a massive cost due to the size and weight of our boat. We’ve done bottom work without a haul-out before, but wow… it would change everything if we could do it properly.

7. New sails? Can you imagine?! Dream big, Anna

8. A new bimini - (that’s the canvas shade for when we’re sailing in wind or rain).

9. Anything beyond that would go into our Sailing Fund—helping us get back to the ocean sooner.

I was daydreaming the other day:

If every one of my 82K+ followers gave \$1, we could fund every single dream project for the Sarah G.

If everyone gave \$2 ? We could finish the projects and pay off the last bits of debt tying us to land life.

If everyone gave \$5 ? Well damn... we'd fund a circumnavigation!

I know these are big dreams. But I’ve always been a big dreamer—and it hasn’t let me down yet.

If we meet this initial goal, we'll keep going and I'll raise it!
