listed below is exactly how we will be using your donation! any excess will be put into reserves to be used for the next year!
GOAL: $4,000
one year anniversary SIFF rental! ($600)
- $20/ticket, need to sell 30tix to break even! (+$2 surcharge to account for Venmo’s fees)
- if we sell out, we’ll be a bit under halfway towards our fundraising goal!!
Meetup fees! ($60.80/mo, or $729.60/year)
- this allows us to manage all of our different neighborhood groups, contact members, and get access to a variety of administrative tools that help manage the group at the capacity it is
bimonthly parties! ($50-100 per event, or $300-600/year)
- we’ve been trying to host group events every other month to keep the community thriving! these funds go toward food, venue rentals, and possibly ticket rentals. We’d like to offer grander events, but need the funds to do so!
- our goal with these events is to give back to you guys, show our appreciation for you, and to provide an alternative atmosphere for friendships to develop!!
- so far we’ve done the pumpkin patch, holiday movie party, and our upcoming board game swap! stay tuned for June’s event!
merch!!! ($1,500)
- we so badly want to provide merch, but it is SO expensive (think upwards of $1-2k for 100 shirts)
- we’d love to offer shirts, hats, sweatshirts, and stickers! plus, we’re in the process of designing a logo and may need funds for that as well (tbd)
nonprofit status ($600)
- we have a long-term goal of turning board game girlies! into a registered nonprofit organization!
- as a nonprofit, we will be able to offer you all so much more through this community, such as a dedicated venue space to call home!
- we’ll also be able to fundraise without taking cuts from platforms such as this, and can avoid club income/spending from impacting our own personal taxes!
- the 501(c)(7) social club nonprofit application is $600
