BMO Vancouver Marathon in aid of the LauraLynn Foundation
For the past three months Jonathan and I have been training for the BMO Vancouver Marathon - which will be a first for both of us!
Whilst there's fun to be had in chasing a time or besting a buddy to the chequered flag (we're both in the same corral so it should be competitive!) - the greatest reward would be if we helped raise critical funds and awareness for a charity which we both admire.
LauraLynn (Ireland's Children's Hospice) helps children with palliative care needs, complex care needs, and complex disabilities through its diverse range of services. LauraLynn also provides a home to residents where quality-of-life is paramount. Additionally, staff and volunteers at the foundation focus on supporting the wider family with their spiritual, social and occupational, psychological, emotional and physical well-being.
As we are making our way around the 42.2km course this Sunday, 4th May - it would be great to know that every minute we move is a minute in support of a child with palliative care needs and their family. Any donation to this fundraiser would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jonathan & Nick
