Hi! I’m Mason and I'm a senior at the Convent of Sacred Heart in NYC. I have created this fundraiser to support communities in disaster areas worldwide. Every donation is meaningful - thank you for whatever you can give!
We will be donating all funds raised to All Hands and Hearts and SOK Foundation/Little Chef. Every donation will be matched!
The funds we raise will be used to help an incredible charity my family has supported in the past: All Hands and Hearts (AHAH). My family and I have connected with the organization's co-founder, Petra Nemcova, to help AHAH’s commitment to effectively and efficiently address the immediate and long-term needs of global communities impacted by disasters. All Hands and Hearts arrives early for first response and stays late to rebuild schools and homes in a disaster-resilient way. They work alongside the local residents and deploy their unique volunteer model to enable direct impact. Your donation will be used to help families and communities recover by building safe, resilient schools, homes and other community infrastructure.
Additionally, we will be supporting the SOK Foundation / Little Chef. In March 2022, my family and I volunteered at the OSSA orphanage and refugee program in conjunction with SOK Foundation and Little Chef, a nonprofit based in Warsaw, Poland. My family and I were deeply impacted by that experience and we created lasting friendships at SOK Foundation in our time volunteering. Their entire team works tirelessly to support children in need. SOK Foundation co-founder Katia Roman-Trzaska founded Little Chef, the first and largest cooking school for children in Poland. Katia, along with co-founder Zuzanna Skoczek and board member Iga Pietrusińska, give their time and talents to help create meaningful workshops for children stressed by instability and uncertainty. The money we send to SOK Foundation will be used to organize various workshops such as mindfulness, sports, cooking, and arts and crafts for the kids at the Ossa Refugee Shelter. This is currently the biggest orphanage in Europe and hosts 600 kids.
Again, the total amount of money we raise will be matched dollar for dollar and funds will go to both charities. Every donation is meaningful to them - thank you for your support!
