Hi, we are Bluetit 5 - a very unlikely bunch of chill swimmers who are taking on the extraordinary challenge of swimming the English Channel in 2027 to spread the word about the wonders of The Bluetits and raise much needed funds while we’re at it.

The Bluetits provide an inclusive, free to join social swim community. There are over 150 groups worldwide run entirely by a network of almost 300 volunteers. Thousands of people now get in the water every week because of the Bluetits and feel the physical and mental health benefits of both the cold water and the community around them.

The Bluetits is a CIC (Community Interest Company), a business for good, so it relies on money raised through activities to pay for the costs of supporting a large growing community.

After the success of the first Channel Relay Team in 2024, a small number of additional teams have been given the amazing opportunity to follow in their slipstream. Under the watchful eye and guidance of serial channel swimmer, Makala Jones, Bluetit 5 will take to the channel in September 2027 and we would be grateful of any support to get us there.
