We have incredible news to share—homeownership is just 16 days away! After two and a half challenging years, we’re so close to achieving this dream. During the pandemic, I took a leap of faith into entrepreneurship. While rewarding, it didn’t go as planned. We moved in with family, and I returned to full-time work—balancing single motherhood, my business, and finishing school along the way. After facing unemployment for much of 2023, I finally got an incredible opportunity in November, allowing me to pay down debt and begin to save for our move.

Buying a home wasn’t on our bingo card for this year, but everything changed just three months ago. I applied for a loan, expecting a long wait, but instead, we were met with favor and open doors. We found our home just 1 week after getting our approval letter! Not only is this home perfect for this season of our life, but it will also become a rental property, helping me build generational wealth for my family. It’s more than a place to live—it’s a foundation for stability, a place to create new memories, celebrate milestones, and a step toward financial security for our future.

Because the process moved so quickly, we weren't able to access first-time homebuyer programs in our area AND close on time leading to some unexpected costs. We’re asking for help with closing costs to make this dream a reality and celebrate Christmas in our first home.
