Blue Tree Project

Our Mission
Blue Tree Project began as a grassroots project and has now flourished into a not for profit, making an impact. Our mission is to help spark difficult conversations encouraging people to speak up when battling with mental health concerns. We are raising awareness of mental wellbeing by painting trees blue. By spreading the paint and spreading the message that 'it's ok to have a blue day'.

The Blue Tree Project was inspired by Jayden Whyte (aka Jaydo, Rex) painting a tree blue on his parents' farm, as a bit of a practical joke. Tragically Jayden took his life in November 2018.

With the Blue Tree Project we hope to help break down the outdated prejudice and stigma that is still largely attached to mental health.

We are stronger than we believe, braver than we think and loved more than we know.

Where will your money go?
You can donate to our cause which will help go towards organised community painting days and events, as well as the development of a school program to help educate our kids. Coming together as a community is so important for creating a safe place to open up the conversations around mental health. Learning how to look after ourselves and each other equips us with the tools to cope with the challenges life throws our way. Your donations will help us dream bigger and better and have a more impactful change on our communities.
