BLM Billboard - Des Moines

Goal: Raise money to fund a billboard that brings much needed attention & awareness to the serious issue of racial inequality and police brutality in our city, state and country.

This project is paid for by people for black lives with support from the Iowa Bass (EDM) community. It is a group effort by these communities with the goal of spreading the messages and being heard.

The cost of the the billboard project is $1500 and has already been approved with Lamar Advertising Company. The graphic will be displayed on 5 digital billboards around the Des Moines area and will have 100's of thousands of impressions. Any amount over the costs of the billboard will be donated to charity which will be decided on with the help of BLM Iowa leaders.

We must keep fighting for racial equality and police reform. What happened to George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin, Botham Jean, Atatiana Jerfferson and too many more is completely inexcusable. As a country, we NEED to be better than this.
